200 Club
The 200 Club raises a significant amount for the Parish.
It only costs 50p per week for each number and you can hold as many numbers as you like. Draws are held monthly in St Dominic's Church Hall after 10:30 Mass.
If you would like to join please contact Mrs Sue Whitney tel: 01453 542410 or see her after the 10:30 Sunday Mass in Dursley.
The winners are published in the weekly newletter.
Social Events / Fundraising
Money raised over the past few years has enabled us to fully refurbish all the sanitary facilities in the hall.
Last year we raised funds for the Tallinding Project
This year we are raising money for Clifton Refugee Sponsorship. This is a group of parishioners associated with Clifton Cathedral who have spent the last two years working towards obtaining sponsorship status within the Home Office's Community Sponsorship Scheme in order to be able to sponsor a family of refugees from the wars in the Middle East. They welcomed a family to Bristol in early October 2019. See www.cliftonrefugeesponsorship.co.uk
If you wish to support and help the Social Committee please contact either Laura Elliott or Sam Foran.
Future Events
Pat Uglow has been our Church organist for over 50 years. She has now decided to retire but before she goes she has decided to to raise money for our Parish Charity, the Clifton Refugee Sponsorship by playing 84 hymns, one for every year of her life. She will be playing them over 4 sessions on Wednesday 30th September and Sundays 4th and 11 October and Wednesday 7th October. Sponsorship can be made through JustGiving at
https://www.justgiving.com/crowdfunding/stdominicsdursley?utm_id=1&utm_term=m38QW7Q5N
or by cheque made out to M P Uglow and sent to the Parish Office indicating that it is for CRSS.
A list of the hymns she will be playing can be found here
